Notice of Race 2025 Taylor Pond Laser Invitational Regatta July 12, 2025 Organizing Authority: Taylor Pond Yacht Club 1. Rules: The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing, the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) Rules, this Notice of Race (NOR), the Sailing Instructions (SI) and any amendments. a. Sailing Instructions will be available via email to those who register before the event, on the Taylor Pond Yacht Club bulletin board (west side of clubhouse) and at the competitors meeting. b. Amendments to Sailing Instructions will be posted not later than 1100 on the day of event on the Club bulletin board. 2. Eligibility and entry. a. All sailors are welcome to enter. b. Competitors shall enter and sail equipped as either ILCA 7 or 6. c. Entry is free. d. Entry deadline: 1200, July 12, 2025. e. Email entry - name, sail number to petergarcia207@gmail.com. 3. Schedule: 1100 Competitors meeting in the deck of the main clubhouse. 1300 First race warning signal. 1600 No start after this time. 1730 Awards, food, refreshments (hamburgers, hot dogs, non alcoholic beverages provided) on the deck. 4. Safety: a. All competitors must wear US Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices while competing. b. The decision to race is solely the competitor’s. By participation competitors agree to indemnify the race committee and Taylor Pond Yacht Club, and hold them harmless with respect to any claim or injury arising out of participation in the event. 5. Changes to Racing Rules: Penalties - Rules 44.1 and 44.2 are changed so that only one turn, including one tack and one gybe, is required. 6. Scoring: a. When fewer than five races have been completed a boat’s series score will be the total ofher race scores. b. When five or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. 6. Courses: Generally, windward leeward courses, details in the Sailing Instructions. 7. Location: Taylor Pond Yacht Club, 1 Yacht Club Drive, Auburn, Maine, 04210. 8.
